Sacre Coeur

We had enough time to see one more thing in Paris, and I had seen pictures of a beautiful Basilica that was up on a hill- so I found Sacre Coeur in our guidebook, and off we went.  It was a short Metro ride away.  We got there early on in the morning, before it was getting too hot.

There is a funicular that takes you up the hill- or you can take the stairs.

Can you see the kiddos on the stairs?

This is Joan of Arc, and King Louis IX.  No photos were allowed inside, but it was very beautiful!

There is a great view of the city- but we couldn't see the Eiffel Tower from here- because of the direction that we were facing.

You can see a little smog already.

Mav gave this musician some money.

Although it was out of the central tourist area, I'm glad we saw this!
